Kathleen began her love affair with books during childhood. Her mother often remarked that Kathleen had ink running through her veins. She penned her first piece of poetry at the age of ten, an homage to who father who was at that time deployed.
Kathleen’s books for children, Coyotes in the Kitchen and Norman Attacks were inspired by the delightful youngsters she has worked with. Having begun her work with children when she herself was but a child, she recognized the vivacious energy and pure enjoyment children find within their playful imaginations. It is such inspiration that is the driving force to her creative expression.
Along with being an author, Kathleen is a spiritual awakener and an early care and education professional. Truly a renaissance woman, she is an award-winning photographer, mixed media artisan, amateur musician, accomplished seamstress, apian enthusiast, builder, amateur chef, and gardener. At times she presents her works through her Angelic name, Luminara.
