Full-Service Publishing

The core of our work is helping get you published. Learn more about our process below.

Our Full-Service Publishing

As a full-service publishing company, our Write With Light team works with our authors for one common goal: sharing positive and uplifting stories with the planet.

We know that getting a book published is a daunting task, so we are here to help you along the way.

All of our projects are dependent upon the scope of the project. No one project is exactly the same, meaning each project can take months to develop. We help you develop your project and point it to a niche market that will get you the maximum return on investment.

All good work requires hard work and when you win, we win too.

Here at Write With Light Publications, you can count on us to get your product out to the right people. If you are interested in getting in touch with us about a project you have in mind, contact us!

About Publishing

Self-publishing isn’t as easy as publishing your book to Amazon and calling it good. There is so much more to trying to publish work on your own. Even with our expertise in the world of publication, we are still learning.

With traditional methods, we know your biggest worry is giving away too much creative license, not making enough in royalties, or being stuck in a contract that just stopped working as you intended.

At Write With Light Publications, we consider ourselves a hybrid publishing company. Combining all of the best parts of self-publishing with the best parts of traditional publishing; all for your benefit.

Learn more about the different ways to publish below to get a better understanding.

Traditional Publishing

Traditional publishing is when a company offers a contract to an author.

The publisher will take the author’s works and print, publish, market, sell, and distribute them on their behalf to booksellers and retailers.

Ultimately, the publisher buys the rights to the book in order to sell it, thus paying the author their royalties.

Self-Publishing

Self-publishing, more plainly stated, allows the author to publish their works on their own accord.

If an author chooses to publish without the help of a traditional publishing company, they are afforded more freedoms an established publishing company might restrict from them.

Self-publishing involves an incredible amount of research on the author’s part and can be very time-consuming. Typically, the author who self-publishes will take over not only the printing and distribution but any marketing efforts as well.

Hybrid Publishing

Hybrid publishing is usually regarded as the middle ground between traditional publishing and hybrid publishing.

Hybrid methods are also known as “author-assisted publishing”, “independent publishing”, or “partner publishing”. With hybrid methods, an author can receive assistance with publishing their work without committing to either self-publishing or traditional publishing.

With hybrid publishing, you are likely to pay somewhat for services that will assist you with publishing your book while still holding to some publishing independence.

Which Should I Choose?
Ultimately, the type of publishing you choose to bring your book to market is ultimately up to you!

There are many upsides to each type of publishing depending on what you might be comfortable with. If you are not certain, or what like to speak with us more, visit the Contact Us page to get in touch for a free consultation.

Our Process

With our full-service publish methods, Write With Light Publications provides authors with an all-encompassing experience and approach.

We start as early as conceptualization. If you have an idea we can help you talk your way through it. From there, we get the writing process going, and can even write it for you if need be.

After the writing process is complete, we edit your work as a team to make sure your book hits all the right points, speaks in great detail, has the right amount of dialogue, and is the best version it can be.

Basically, we are going for best-seller status!

After the editing work comes the even heavier lifting. From here, we work with you:

    • Create an amazing cover
    • Help get the word out about your book
    • Help develop your author presence online
    • Gear up for pre-order
    • Prepare for the launch
    • Support you once the book is on the market

Our full-service package assists with the following:

    • Conceptualization
    • Writing (if necessary)
    • Editing
    • Author Profile Development
    • ISBN and Library of Congress Numbers
    • Pre-Sale Promotion
    • Printing
    • Publishing
    • Post-Publishing Marketing

With our full-service package, you get all this, AND more royalties than a traditional publishing company.

Since we are a hybrid publishing company, we assist with all of the above to ensure you have more control of your work.

We’re the support you need to publish confidently.

How Long Does Publishing Take?

When you publish a book, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. A really good well-marketed book takes time. There are multiple factors involved in making your book a success. So how long does it take to publish a book and do it right?

If you’re trying to publish a book within 6 months, marketing and all, you’re probably not going to see it become very successful, and here’s why:

    • You need to build up your author web presence, which takes time.
    • You need time to get your book out for review before it even launches.
    • You need time to properly create awareness about your book and its launch date months before it goes to market.

When we work with our clients, we recommend at least one year to properly review, print, publish, distribute, and market the book.

Anything less and you are setting yourself up for failure.

How to Publish a Book

How long will it take to publish my work if I am accepted?

The time it takes to publish work varies. Publishing is not a process that happens overnight. Editing, proofreading, copy review, marketing, and many more things come into play when seeing a work of art to its fruition.

Depending on the length of the book or the idea you’re trying to develop, it could take a minimum of 12 months to see your work published.
