Choosing to write with light and do so consciously came to our founder, Jim Solo, many years ago.
Since his revelation on starting the company, he tells how what inspired him and how to write with light so we can bring inspired creations to the planet.
My name is Jim Solo. I’m the founder of right with live publications. And I’d like to invite you to bring your inspiring story writings or anything that speaks of love and compassion, forgiveness, and understanding of the human condition.
How Did Write With Light Publications Begin?
I was on a hunting trip with my cousin and anybody that’s ever hunted out knows that you spend most of the day walking through the trees, you know, on the mountains.
When the day’s finished, you’re quite tired and usually hungry and you’re just ready for an early night to be up. That night, we had a good meal, we had a hot tub, and we had rented a cabin.
When I laid my head down on my pillow that night, I realized that I really needed to make more money to continue in my pursuit of helping others. So I said a prayer. I just basically said, “God, can you show me a way to make more money?” And, fortunately, I had a very beautiful, inspiring vision.
Out of the heavens out of the stars, I saw this pen or pencil come down. It was very light and almost like a sun or a halo surrounding the tip of the pen. The pen then wrote out the words “write with light”.
I laid there a while and I’d wondered what might it meant, “write with light”. And I started to realize that Spirit asked me to actually be an author, a writer, and to write stories that speak of love, understanding, and compassion, and empathy for others.
Write With Light speaks of how that action and learning to understand what guidance is spiritual guidance. After many years of looking at this vision, I had and realizing I had more stories to tell, which I could ever tell him a lifetime, I talked to my wife.
We were inspired to start Write With Light Publications, a place where others could tell their inspiring stories.
What is a Vision?
Our visions are is only understandable if you understand their history. And my history is a simple history.
I learned how to meditate out of a little small book while visiting in-laws in Nebraska one summer. After reading that book, I continued to practice this ongoing guided meditation until one day I actually had a vision.
The best way I can describe a vision is to think in terms of having a dream, but rather being asleep and being awakened by your dream, you actually are having that dream while still very conscious of what’s going on in that vision.
A vision is a message that I believe comes from the spiritual part. The world, our universe, inspires me to then go out and talk to others about what my vision is. Many times after sharing my visions, they question the authenticity, the honesty of the vision. They wonder if I didn’t just make it up like some story about the old dog or something.
The truth of the matter is, visions aren’t that way. They don’t come from thinking really hard or trying to be creative. They just happen because you’re in a quiet place and that quiet place allows you to have visions.
Many people have them, many people are still confused by them. They’ve asked me, “how can I know this is true?” The best way to know if the vision is true and matters to you is to ask,
- “Does it speak to your heart in some way?”
- “Does it speak of love?”
- “Does it speak of connection?” “Does it speak of understanding the human condition?”
Anything that sounds good, means it’s a good vision and you can hold onto it.
If the vision asks you to do something that you know, in your heart, isn’t right or if it asks you to go out and harm another very likely that vision is not a vision. It is just a very confusing dream that leads you to places that none of us really want to go.
So when you read about people’s visions, or you hear people talk about them, ask yourself, “Is this the truth of my own heart?” “Is this the truth of my understanding of the kind of love I would like to have?”
And the understanding, the kind of connections I would like with others that way, you know, what the vision is. And you know, that it’s true. Having spent many years, actually decades listening to my visions, I understand them quite well. And that’s exactly how Write With Light publications began.
How Do You Write With Light?
Writing with light means tapping into your intuitive self.
Our most powerful written creations are brought to fruition when we are actively in touch with our own spirit self or intuition.
If you want to write with light, try the following:
- Actively practicing meditation
- Engaging is more spiritual efforts
- Simply put, following your gut
- Recognizing your deepest passions and going for them
- Identifying things that might be holding you back (fear, anxiety, depression, etc.)
- Writing every day, even if its about nothing.
When your written creations come from your heart, are written with deep passion and desire, that’s how you know you are writing with light.
