At Write With Light Publications, LLC, we are all-inclusive and loving of all people, no matter who you are. Our mission to bring inspired creations to the planet and share stories that are loving and beneficial to others is at the root of our mission.
As a publishing company, we are striving to be a safe place for people to share their stories, especially if they are empowering, inspiring, honest, loving, and beneficial to others.
Starting June 2020 for Pride Month, Write With Light Publications is accepting LGBTQ stories from LGBTQ writers who would like to share their stories with others.
We feel opening up our website to members of the LGBTQ community who have something to share will give people a chance to share their stories and encourage.
We hope by sharing these stories, we can be a part of encouraging others to love and accept themselves or be a better ally to our LGBTQ friends and family.
What We Are Looking For in Your LGBTQ Stories
It’s important to note that as we accept LGBTQ stories and publish them on our site, we welcome all kinds of stories. We also realize that some of these stories may not always be the easiest to tell.
What we do love are LGBTQ stories of bravery, ones that demonstrate the strength and courage it takes to own who you are.
Here’s what we are looking for:
- Inspiring, heartfelt, and uplifting LGBTQ stories
- Your LGBTQ love stories and journeys
- Anything that helps people be better allies to everyone in the LGBTQ community
- Stories that show what you have overcome to be where you are now
- Fiction and non-fiction LGBTQ stories
- Stories from LGBTQ Allies
- Literally, any LGBTQ stories that you feel the world should hear
If you’re not sure about your story or if it fits into the above listed, Contact Us! We are here to answer any questions you might have.
**Any stories that are hateful and negative toward the LGBTQ community will be rejected immediately.
Requirements for LGBTQ Stories When Submitting
When you send your submissions in, please make sure you include the following:
- Your Full Name
- 200 character bio
- A headshot
- Social media or website links
- Title of Story
- Stories must be at least 1,200 words long
- 1 – 2 images (if not provided, we will use stock imagery)
- Send as a word document
Submissions without these may not be considered.
Please edit your stories as much as possible before submitting. This will cut down the time it takes for us to review your story and give you feedback.

How Long Will It Take to Receive Feedback On My Story?
Once we receive your submission, we will require 7 – 10 days to review your work before reaching out. If we feel your submission is high-quality, will let you know.
We may have some edits, but we would really like to stick to the integrity and voice of your story and won’t change much of anything about it.
Once we have reviewed the post, we will publish it on our site and share it across all of our social media platforms for the rest of time!
Will There Be Compensation For My Submission?
This is something we would like to do in the future and hope we can do that as quickly as possible!
At the present moment, we will not be providing compensation. However, there are benefits to sharing your story on other websites which we detail below.
One of these days, we would LOVE to hold a writing contest for any authors interested in sharing their stories!

At Write With Light Publications, we have a deep understanding of marketing and use SEO tactics to drive traffic to our website and others websites.
Because of this, we know we can get your story out there to the world and give it the attention it deserves.
How Many LGBTQ Stories Can I Submit?
You can submit as many LGBTQ stories as you want as long as they meet the above requirements and are written well.
Our mission is to share as many perspectives as possible and give the members of our beloved LGBTQ community the space to share what they have to say.
Where Should I Send My Submission?
Once you have written your story, please send your submission to us at kelly@writewithlightpublications.com. You can also click the button below to submit.
Be sure to introduce yourself and give a brief description of the story you’re submitting (which we are SO excited to read!).
