How to Submit a Book for Review
We are excited to review all of your stories and are overjoyed to have so many submissions and will get to them as quickly as possible! We are a small team, so please bear with us!
What kind of books do you review?
What is Included in the Book Reviews?
We like to be thorough with our book reviews. In order for us to review the book fully, we require you to send a review copy of your book by direct mail.
After we receive your book, it takes 10 – 12 weeks to review it. If you would like your book review expedited, we do it for an additional fee.
When we review your book, you will get:

- A 500 – 1,000 Word Review
- Cover Art Rating (A – C Rating)
- An honest critique of the work
- Your review shared across all of our social media platforms
- Our favorite quotes from your book
- Freedom to use this review as a marketing tool
Published reviews also automatically qualify for the Write With Light Annual Top 5 Book Review Awards.
Do you accept galleys?
How long does it take for you to review?
We give our editors up to 10 – 12 weeks to review your books and give them a review. Once it has been reviewed, we will upload the review and send you the link to do with it however you wish!
Can I Expedite My Review?
Yes! When you are submitting your book for review, you can choose between two options:
- Review in 4 – 6 weeks for $50
- Review in 7 – 9 weeks for $25
Purchasing one of these expedited options also guarantees your review.
Be In Our Top 5 Favorite Books of the Year!
We love reading books, and we love celebrating exceptional books. Every year, we will showcase our Top 10 favorite books reviewed and award the authors who worked so hard on them!
Be a part of our Write With Light’s Annual Top 5 Favorite Books by submitting your book for review. Those who qualify must have a review published on our website before December 31. This will include books from various genres.
The Top 5 will be announced by the end of January following the calendar year. There is no need to apply, and winners of the Top 5 will be celebrated, notified, and badged.

Our goal is to review your work honestly and kindly. We want our feedback to guide you and help you grow as an author so you can continue to succeed.
We get many submissions each week and do our very best to review every’s author’s book. We understand your book is your baby and that you have put much time, energy, and love into your creation. With that, there may be submissions we just can’t get to (although we try to make this a rare occurrence).
We are accepting of all works and perspectives. However, if we feel your book is harmful or discriminatory to people in any fashion, it will not be considered for review.
